I'm Andrea Bogoni, marketer based in Lugano and CMO at DeepCloud (Abacus Research). Italian by birth, I've been living in Switzerland for several years now. Cars, music and brand stories are my favourite topics, in no particular order, depending on the day.

WHAT IS AD-DICTION
AD-diction.me is a slow blog that started in 2017. It moves at its own pace, the one an idea needs to settle, not the one dictated by an editorial calendar. It's a deliberate choice of mine, even if it'll give some growth marketer a rash.
I write about brands and communication, often about cars and music, occasionally about whatever caught my attention enough to want to write it down. When I feel like writing I do it with passion and without metrics.
HOW IT'S MADE
This site is static, built with Astro and hosted on Vercel. The content is written in Markdown and the code is versioned on GitHub. Fast, light, fully under my control.
Posts are entirely written by me, from idea to final edit. I use Claude (Anthropic) as a research assistant, to help generate the code, and to power the semantic search across the archive. No auto-generated content, no AI-edited images.
Until 2023, translations were done by a dear friend and former colleague, credited at the bottom of each piece. From 2024 they're AI-assisted and always reviewed before publishing.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Honest writing about trends, marketing, design and whatever catches my eye. Sometimes personal, never optimised for engagement.
No popups, no SEO/GEO, no clickbait headlines, no cookie banners, no analytics. No tracking whatsoever.
I publish when I have something to say. If you feel like reading, I'm glad. Otherwise, I won't ask for your attention.
